What I liked about this book
Monster, he’s what kept me in the story. If you’ve read either of my novels you know that I tend to like men with ISSUES but who doesn’t. It’s what makes a character interesting. What would be the fun in reading about someone who is perfect?
Over all the characters were likeable. His brother was a bit annoying but hey who doesn’t have an annoying relative.
The story doesn’t really keep you guessing but that’s not really necessary. It’s a cute little romantic story. Not my usual type of book to read but I was in a girly mood. Plus there aren’t many interracial mc novels out there.
What was my favorite part of the book?
Not one scene sticks out as my favorite. I simply liked the way Monster feels about her.
What did I disliked about the book?
I don’t think it was necessary for both of them to have physical flaws. I understand why the characters were written that way. The author wanted to show that people can bond over the tragic things in their life (this is my take on it anyway). However it gives the impression that if there is something wrong with you physically then you need to find someone just like you or no one will love you.
It’s straight up romance, not a bad thing but if you’re looking for a hardcore MC club novel this isn’t it.
What I wish would have happen?
Monster met a woman without physical scar and she still found him attractive and desirable. Don’t get me wrong she still could have had all of her other issues. I just didn’t like how all of the other women in the book treated Monster. Sure people are shallow and some women wouldn’t want him. However he had so many other good traits that his physical complications wouldn’t have been an issues for a lot of women. Even a woman with no scars herself.
The ending
It was nice, a little abrupt but like I said, over all a cute, romantic love story.

What a great continuation of this series! Both, Symone and Monster went through major battles to get where they are today. I'm so happy that they embraced their pasts to move forward to their futures.

Hopefully, Pan can follow in their footsteps and forgive himself.
This Book is the best in this series IMO. I completely fell in love with Monster (Hayes) myself. What a sweet, tender, sexy, gentle giant. MUAH!!!!

This is such a good addition to a solid series.This story touches on so many levels and gets it right.The handling of the story is done such an adult manor that you want to read and see this unfold.The romance sizzles off the pages right into sexy.Now I only have one request and that is for the story editing to get better.I want more of this series,I want a story for Pan and I want to just read more about this club.
I had read the first book in this series and I liked it. I purchased this one not having read the second or third books and I was glad to know that I could read it without the having read the previous ones. I want a "Monster" of my own. His alpha maleness was awesome but Symone could turn him into a teddy bear was cute. Every woman should have a man like that in her life. The inner struggles of both the hero and heroine gave life to the story. Great book!
I loved reading this story. This was a very emotional story to read, both Taffy and Monster had physical and emotional scars that they both had to overcome to put their trust and love in to another person. They both fought through their personal demons, to come together and loved won the battle. I loved Dueling Devils series from the first book. Shyla Colt's writing gets better with each book. I am hoping that there will be more books to come.
My only complaint with the story line of this book is why did both of them have to be physics scared. Why couldn't a flawed person find true love with a regular person? To me it makes you think that only flawed can find flawed to find their happy ending
I have to say that out of the Dueling Devils Series this couple Monster and Simone were my favorite. There was just something about them that I could relate to or maybe with. Its not like I have gone through the same things as these characters but I felt like they represented that survival in me. We are all just trying to life day by day and survive and no matter the circumstances that we might face we must face them by ourselves. The heroine Simone was a character that was just trying to survive the best way she knew how and protect herself from being used and taken advantage of. The hero Monster had scars not only on the outside but the inside as well that sometimes left him feeling alone. When these two characters meet Monster feels connected to Simone in ways he has never felt with anyone before. And throughout this tale these two characters find, love, happiness, and hope. It was a short, quick read. That had a HEA. The author gave you two characters that you could connect with on a different level. Even with the few grammatical errors the content was worth the read.
